Podcast Episode 3
For this episode we will answer the following question:
What is 1 thing that I can add or change on my financial service blog to generate leads?
Adding a Call-to-Action (CTA) to your financial service blog to generate leads
You could write amazing blog content and have a lot of readers. However, it is very common in the financial space that there is a missing element to turn blog readers to become leads and that missing element is a Call-to-Action or a CTA as they call it in the marketing world.
A CTA, is an image, text, or a combination of the two that probes an action from the reader. A simple CTA example is when you go on amazon and there is a ADD TO CART button.
You do not want your potential prospects to simply read and leave. You want them to further engage with your business. By placing a CTA that is relevant to your blog, you are on your way to generating leads for your financial advisors.
For example, If your blog article is an introduction to Real Estate investment for Accredited Investors, you could place a CTA at the end of the blog which offers a step by step guide, as a premium content, that they could download in exchange for their email.
Without A CTA, is is highly unlikely that your reader will go on the "Contact Us" page and request a meeting. Most blog readers are not ready to speak with an advisor just yet. You need to continue the conversation with premium content that they find valuable so that they better understand what they are looking for before speaking with someone from you financial service firm.
Now that you know the missing element, go and add CTAs on every blog article that you have published.
